Good Hope

Nova Scotia shipwreck Good Hope. Halifax Harbour. Shipping lane. Dive dive dive.

Description

This is the first shipwreck model I completed. The Good Hope sank in 1929 following a collision with another vessel at the entrance to the Halifax Harbour. It is located in the shipping channel near the degaussing range by McNab’s Island in approximately 25 metres of water. The Navy’s Fleet Diving Unit blew up the mast of the Good Hope to prevent it from obstructing the shipping channel.
